International Festival of Folklore FACES OF TRADITION – Zielona Góra
The Festival “FACES OF TRADITION” realised by the Regional Centre of Animation of Culture is a continuation of the international festivals of folklore organised in Zielona Góra for over 50 years. The festival is a competition in which children, adult and multigenerational folk ensembles that present authentic or artistically elaborated native folklore can take part. All the performances will be judged by the specially appointed Artistic Council. The members of the council will award the best presentations.
During the Festival, apart from concerts at the scene, a series of consultative meetings and discussions about the protection of tradition is predicted. There are planned concerts in the form of the lessons of folklore, concerts of the music bands, the competition of soloists, workshops, the exhibition of the handicraft products, craft and tradition, tasting of traditional dishes. All the activities will be carried out on the territory of Zielona Góra, Łagów and other towns of the Lubuski Province.
